How do I start learning Tai Chi ?

Getting started learning Tai Chi is easy but there are a few prerequisites. Here’s what you should consider:

  • Tai Chi is a low impact exercise but if you have any health or fitness issues, it is always advisable to discuss them with a General Practitioner first.
  • Just turn up to Armenian Park ( Corner of Armenian & Acheen Sts. George Town ) at 7.15 am any morning except Monday & Thursday. If it's raining, then don't come. Any doubt -  call John on  017 4 587 582.
  • Wear loose comfortable clothing and flat soled shoes.
  • Bring a drink ( preferably non-alcoholic ).
  • Class will be outdoor but in the shade.
  • At that time of the morning there is generally adequate parking nearby if you're coming by car.
  • Class is totally Free - you never have to pay anything.
  • Beginners are always welcome. As long as you are prepared to just follow along at various stages of the class, you will find that most of the session is fairly intuitive.
  • We take our Tai Chi seriously but having fun is the number one priority. We are not a strict or regimented group. Students are encouraged to express their individuality and we avoid choreography. Having a sense of humour will certainly help you adjust to our style of teaching.

We look forward to seeing you in the Park.  Please call 017 4 587 582 if you have any queries or you can contact us on-line by clicking the button below.
